Is Question.AI safe for kids?
Reviewed 2026-10-19 from public pages already cited in this directory. If a minimum age, an ad claim, or a data claim was not on those pages, this note says to check the app's terms.
Is Question.AI safe for kids? The terms do not bar children the way Gauth’s do. A user under 17 needs a parent’s permission, and the product is built to return an answer. Question.AI is not a tool page in this directory. This note uses the terms and privacy policy on questionai.com, updated October 23, 2024. A different site, questionai.ai, has its own 13-and-older rule. That text is not used here.
Minimum age and account rules
The terms of use say a user under 17, or under the minimum age allowed where they live, shall not use Question.AI without a parent’s or legal guardian’s permission. A child’s use is treated as permitted and supervised by that adult. The terms also say Question.AI is provided to a child only after a parent or guardian has agreed, and that the company may stop service if it learns that consent was not given. Payment is not allowed from a child. A parent or guardian handles payment.
That is not a ban at 13. An elementary child is still inside the “under 17” rule, which means a parent has to permit it. The terms do not say the product is built for kindergarten.
Data and ads
The privacy policy says a child user, defined by COPPA, gets the service only after a parent or guardian has agreed, and that the company will not collect, use, or disclose that child’s personal information without that consent unless the law allows it. Parents can review the information, have it deleted, and ask the company to stop collecting it. The policy names CLOUD WHALE INTERACTIVE TECHNOLOGY LLC. The terms also include a right to display advertising. Whether a given screen shows an ad was not tested.
Teaches, or gives the answer?
The terms say you can search a question bank or the AI for an answer by uploading a picture, a PDF, or text. They also say the company is not responsible for the accuracy of AI content. That is an answer tool, not a lesson app.
A parent’s read
A dollar price was not in the terms or privacy policy we read. Check the store before you pay. For a child under 13, Gauth’s terms are stricter: they require 13. Question.AI’s page does not. If you want the child to practice instead, use the grade lists and the teaches-versus-answers guide.
