MEL Science sends experiment kits to the house and includes digital lessons in an app. The US site says STEM kits are for ages 5 and up, math and physics for ages 8 and up, and chemistry for ages 10 and up. A child does the experiment. This is not an AI tutor.

A family that will do a science experiment together. Chemistry is for ages 10 and up. The STEM kits start at age 5.

Partly verified
The US site says a subscription starts at $29.90 a month and can be paused or canceled. It does not list one price for every subject on that page. Adding subjects, or ordering the separate 12-kit school bundles, changes the total. The school store is a different checkout.
Teaches, or gives the answer?
The child builds a model or runs an experiment from the kit, with steps in the app. MEL Science does not take a photo of a worksheet and return the answer.
Kid safety and privacy

MEL Science says the kits meet US Consumer Product Safety Commission rules for educational sets, that chemistry kits follow the European EN 71-4 list for children’s chemistry sets, and that the projects do not include explosives. We did not review a privacy policy for the app.
What we could not verify
- Math and physics are listed from age 8, and chemistry from age 10. A kindergartener is in the STEM line, not those older lines.
- A schools page has listed 12-kit bundles around $429.90 to $449.90, sometimes marked sold out. That is not the family “from $29.90 a month” price.
- The upper ages on the schools page reach the mid-teens. This directory stops at 8th grade.
